Big goals for a bright future
Since its inception, the SACS Endowment Trust has successfully raised over R20 million, of which R10 million has already been invested in capital projects to improve facilities. We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who have already made a contribution to the Endowment Trust.
The initial projects have included the replacement of the roof of De Villiers House, the implementation of a green energy solution across the whole campus and the Grade N (ECD) Centre at the Junior School. The Trust’s next priority is to assist the High School with the development of an Indoor Cricket Facility.

Junior School Coding and Robotics Hub
Essential for the 21st century, this hub will offer weekly coding and robotics lessons, including maker spaces for building robots and an online component for coding.
High School College of Music
A new state-of-the-art music facility will enhance our cultural offerings, including an acoustically optimised auditorium, a multi-purpose room, new classrooms, and restrooms. This facility will support our renowned music program, benefitting the 40% of students involved in music and 20 staff members, and it will serve as a cultural hub for Cape Town.
Boarding Houses
Due to increasing demand, we aim to expand our boarding facilities from 160 to 200 boys by 2029. This includes new dormitories, upgraded ablution blocks, a prep room, common rooms, and a larger dining area, along with additional staff accommodation to attract and retain excellent teachers.
Astro
To support our top-ranked hockey program, we plan to convert existing tennis courts and a mini astro into a half-size astro, allowing more league matches for U9-U13B and freeing up the full-size astro for high school practices and matches. This facility will be fully lit for early morning and evening use and can accommodate tennis courts in summer, benefitting both the hockey and physical education programs.
ECD Centre
The first project completed by the SACS Endowment Trust, the ECD centre is an important asset for the school’s transformation journey as it allows us to provide a solid foundation for our learners. The ECD centre accommodates 60 boys across three fully equipped classrooms in a brand-new Grade N facility. We are so proud of this completed building project.
Ithuba Trust Scholarships
The Ithuba Trust provides scholarships and opportunities to deserving young boys who would otherwise not be able to attend SACS. By supporting the successful work of the Ithuba Trust we hope to grow our bursary programme across academics, sport and culture, a critical aspect of the transformation of our environment.
